When I was a youngster, my parents encouraged me and my siblings to collect something. I chose stamps and my brother chose coins. Stupid, stupid, me. What was I thinking? Stamps? ‘Cmmon. Coins are far more superior, in my humble and more up-to-date opinion: they are so shiny and round, fun to look at and hold. Each coin captures a moment in history. Most coins have intrinsic value and usually embody some aspect of the human experience.
While I still own my childhood stamp collection, over the decades my passion gradually became coins. As my passion for coins grew, my awareness of the lack of good coin collecting information and commentary also grew. And so, I made this website, for one and for all, for the passionate and the not-so-passionate coin collectors among you. Come and explore CoinTrapTM, where you can find slightly marvelous coin commentary, coin value information, and a host of delicious moments of time memorialized on sparkling pieces of precious metal.
